I'm a Japanese artist based in Kanagawa, Japan, creating handcrafted animals in wool felt and clay.
Drawing inspiration from careful observation and sketching, I seek to capture the warmth, character, and charm of each animal. Alongside my artistic practice, I have worked in stop-motion animation and character design, including projects for NHK children's television programs.
My book Smiling Animals in Wool Felt was first published in Japan in 2014 and later released in Korean and English editions.
The English edition *HAPPY WOOL FELT ANIMALS* was published in the United States in 2020.
